After the Acropolis, this building persists as one of the symbols of the city. It is a marble temple dating back to the 5th century BC.

Another temple not to be missed during a trip to Athens is the temple of Olympian Zeus. It is located southeast of the Acropolis and its construction was carried out during the 6th and 2nd centuries B.C., in honor of that god.
