This perfectly cut rock is part of a wall located on <strong>Hatun Rumiyoc Street<\/strong>, which extends outside the archiepiscopal palace in Cusco.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>It is actually amazing to see how the twelve corners of this stone joined with the others on the wall to form a unit. Therefore, this stone is a sample of <strong>the great architectural skill of the Incas<\/strong>.<\/p><p>The precision and combination of the 12 angles of the stone with the other rocks on the wall is astonishing. The masonry was done accurately, methodically and in an extremely exact manner. The fact that the stone has been carved in twelve different points to give stability to the structure, shows the skill and intelligence of the Inca engineers.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>There are other stones in the wall, which were cut at five, six and seven points. This is because its builders realized that it was an earthquake-prone area and therefore took precautions to give the wall a solid foundation.
