Blue Church built?<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5460cf80 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5460cf80\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>At the beginning of the 20th century, the Austro-Hungarian Empire dominated much of Central and Eastern Europe, including present-day Slovakia. For this reason, many Hungarian engineers and architects traveled to other parts of the region, to realize their ideas.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>This was the case for \u00d6d\u00f6n Lechner, an experienced architect from Hungary, who briefly settled in Slovakia. During his time in Bratislava, he planned and began the construction of what would be one of his last works, the Blue Church.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The project began in 1909, and the church opened its doors five years later, in 1913.
