data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The <strong>Pantheon of Rome<\/strong> was built in 27 BC by order of Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa, and was dedicated to all the gods of Roman mythology, as its name suggests. However, the original building was destroyed by fire, and the structure known today was rebuilt by Emperor Hadrian around 125 AD.<\/p><p><br><\/p><p>The latter kept the original inscription of Agrippa on the facade of the building as a tribute, which led to historical confusions about its real builder. This gesture was a reflection of Hadrian&#8217;s policy of respecting and preserving the achievements of his predecessors.<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p><p>Over the centuries, the <strong>Pantheon<\/strong> has witnessed the transformation of <a href=\"https:\/\/tripaim.com\/blog\/en\/rome\/rome\"><span style=\"color: #842000;\"><strong>Rome<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and its culture. In 609 AD, the building was consecrated as a Christian church under the name of Santa Maria dei Martiri, which helped protect it from destruction during the Middle Ages.
