href=\"https:\/\/tripaim.com\/blog\/en\/tallinn\/tallinn\"><span style=\"color: #842000;\"><strong>Tallinn<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, Kalamaja is quite old. It is known that as early as the 13th century this place existed, and as it was so close to the bay, it was inhabited mainly by fishermen and merchants.<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>As the centuries passed, the <strong>Kalamaja neighborhood<\/strong> grew, and at the end of the Middle Ages it was the largest in the entire city. Not only fishermen lived there, but also jewelers, clothing sellers, carpenters, blacksmiths and many other people who were dedicated to the sale of goods and services.<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>This great commercial exchange made Kalamaja a luxurious neighborhood, where it was frequent to see wealthy families and other important people.
