Debod llega a Madrid<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-56d21156 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"56d21156\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Desde la construcci\u00f3n de la <strong>Gran Presa de Aswan<\/strong> \u00a0los templos, que en otros tiempos hab\u00edan sido lugares de adoraci\u00f3n de las divinidades egipcias y nubias, se encontraban gran parte del a\u00f1o recubiertos por las aguas del Nilo.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Ante la desastrosa situaci\u00f3n de los monumentos y lugares arqueol\u00f3gicos de la Baja Nubia la Unesco realiza la mayor operaci\u00f3n de salvamento arqueol\u00f3gico de todos los tiempos, que comenzar\u00e1 en 1960 y finalizar\u00e1 en 1980. Espa\u00f1a es uno de los pa\u00edses que participaron en esta campa\u00f1a.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>En muestra de agradecimiento en 1968 el presidente egipcio <strong>Gamal Abdel Nasser<\/strong> obsequi\u00f3 el Templo de Debod. Desmontado por completo los grandes bloques de piedra llegaron al puerto de Valencia en 1970 procedentes de Alejandr\u00eda y trasladados en cami\u00f3n hasta su ubicaci\u00f3n actual en Madrid, en el solar del antiguo Cuartel de la Monta\u00f1a, en el paraje denominado <strong><em>Monta\u00f1a del Pr\u00edncipe P\u00edo<\/em><\/strong>.
