un reino durante much\u00edsimos siglos. Al frente del pa\u00eds estuvieron varios monarcas, pero uno de los que m\u00e1s destaca es la reina Mar\u00eda I.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Esta soberana rein\u00f3 por d\u00e9cadas, y su mandato sigue siendo uno de los m\u00e1s largos en la historia portuguesa. Fue una regente exitosa, aunque hab\u00eda un problema, no pod\u00eda tener herederos.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>As\u00ed como era una mujer de pol\u00edtica, Mar\u00eda I tambi\u00e9n era sumamente religiosa, por lo que no dudo en ofrecer una promesa si lograba tener un hijo var\u00f3n. Cuando su heredero lleg\u00f3 al mundo, la reina lusa cumpli\u00f3 su palabra y orden\u00f3 la construcci\u00f3n de la <strong>Bas\u00edlica da Estela<\/strong>.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>La construcci\u00f3n de este gran templo fue una haza\u00f1a para su \u00e9poca, y en \u00e9l trabajaron los m\u00e1s destacados arquitectos e ingenieros.
