de la ciudad. De entre ellos destacan la Puerta del Puente, el Puente Romano, y por supuesto, la <strong>Torre de la Calahorra<\/strong>, siendo esta \u00faltima una de las fortalezas m\u00e1s representativas de la elementor-size-default\">\u00bfCu\u00e1les son los or\u00edgenes de la Torre Calahorra?<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3fbfd859 class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Esta construcci\u00f3n es una antigua torre de vigilancia, hecha por los musulmanes cuando C\u00f3rdoba se encontraba bajo el dominio del \u00c1l-\u00c1ndalus. Desde sus inicios, la funci\u00f3n principal de la Torre de la Calahorra era proteger uno de los pasos m\u00e1s importantes de la ciudad, el del <a href=\"https:\/\/tripaim.com\/blog\/cordoba\/puente-romano\"><strong>Puente Romano<\/strong><\/a> sobre el r\u00edo Guadalquivir.<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>Si la entrada el puente se dejaba sin protecci\u00f3n, la ciudad podr\u00eda ser invadida o asediada, ya que controlar el Puente Romano significaba bloquear el principal camino comercial de los cordobeses.<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>En base a eso, la Torre de la Calahorra fue dise\u00f1ada como una fortificaci\u00f3n poderosa, capaz de albergar a los vigilantes de la ciudad y de advertir cualquier posible amenaza exterior.<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>Con el paso de los siglos, la torre se convirti\u00f3 en un punto de defensa clave para los reyes castellanos que tomaron dominio de C\u00f3rdoba.
