m\u00e1s de la mitad del territorio se encuentra bajo el nivel del mar, haci\u00e9ndolo vulnerable a inundaciones y las crecidas de los r\u00edos.<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>En <a De hecho, se dice que el primer puente era tan delgado, que los peatones ten\u00edan grandes dificultades para poder cruzarlo.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Ese puente, el Magere Brug original, tuvo que ser reconstruido en diversas ocasiones, ya que el uso constante, el tiempo y las condiciones clim\u00e1ticas lo deterioraban. La reforma m\u00e1s reciente ocurri\u00f3 en 1934, cuando el viejo puente estaba tan desgastado que corr\u00eda riesgo de colapsar.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>En ese momento, el nuevo <strong>Magere Brug<\/strong> fue planificado para lograr dos objetivos. El primero era cumplir con su prop\u00f3sito vial, mientras que el otro era respetar el modelo original, y en lugar de construir un puente completamente industrial, fue edificado con una apariencia tradicional.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Por ello, el puente luce un simple color blanco, muy austero pero tambi\u00e9n elegante. Sin embargo, este pasadizo s\u00ed fue modernizado, al menos en su mecanismo levadizo, que ahora es autom\u00e1tico y antes ten\u00eda que ser impulsado por guardias que vigilaban el paso de los barcos.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Desde aquel entonces, el Magere Brug se transform\u00f3 en una de las v\u00edas m\u00e1s concurridas de la ciudad.
