Castillo de Praga, y por su ubicaci\u00f3n, fue la principal sede religiosa del antiguo Reino de Bohemia. En la catedral, cuya construcci\u00f3n inici\u00f3 en el a\u00f1o 1344, eran proclamados los reyes bohemios que gobernaron en el pa\u00eds.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Desde entonces, la <strong>Catedral de San Vito<\/strong> se convirti\u00f3 en un s\u00edmbolo de identidad nacional para los ciudadanos checos. Igualmente, el valor arquitect\u00f3nico de esta edificaci\u00f3n es incalculable, ya que son pocas las iglesias europeas dise\u00f1adas con las mismas caracter\u00edsticas arquitect\u00f3nicas de la Gran Catedral de Praga.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>El templo resisti\u00f3 un gran n\u00famero de guerras, revoluciones, cambios de gobierno, conflictos religiosos y revueltas civiles. A lo largo de los a\u00f1os, atraves\u00f3 diversas reformas y ampliaciones, hechos con la intenci\u00f3n de conservar la integridad de la estructura.
