historia del Palacio de Topkapi inici\u00f3 en el a\u00f1o 1465, despu\u00e9s de la toma de la ciudad de Constantinopla por parte del sult\u00e1n otomano, Mehmed II. El nuevo gobernante ten\u00eda un imperio que se extend\u00eda desde Asia hasta Europa, y quer\u00eda crear un centro administrativo que le permitiera controlar todos sus dominios.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Con este objetivo, la construcci\u00f3n del <strong>Palacio de Topkapi<\/strong> empez\u00f3 en 1459, fue terminado en 1465, y desde entonces sirvi\u00f3 como palacio real para los emperadores otomanos.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>En cuanto al dise\u00f1o, Topkapi tiene un estilo turco tradicional. Sus torres est\u00e1n unidas por cuatro patios, que delimitan los distintos puntos del palacio. Igualmente, est\u00e1 ubicado cerca de la costa, siendo la asombrosa vista al mar de M\u00e1rmara y al B\u00f3sforo uno de los principales atractivos del <strong>Palacio de Topkapi<\/strong>.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Topkapi estuvo en funcionamiento hasta el a\u00f1o 1853, cuando la residencia imperial mud\u00f3 su sede al Palacio de Dolmabah\u00e7e.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Hoy en d\u00eda, Topkapi es un museo, en el que se muestra c\u00f3mo era la vida de los reyes otomanos durante el tiempo de gloria del imperio.
