Aunque la belleza y el encanto de esta ciudad es motivo suficiente para colocarla en lo m\u00e1s alto, es su privilegiada situaci\u00f3n, entre altas cumbres junto al Valle Sagrado, y su condici\u00f3n de puerta de entrada al Machu Pichu lo que ha hecho que lo turistas lleguen hasta <strong>Cusco<\/strong>.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Durante a\u00f1os, muchos se han arrepentido cuando tras el primer paseo han tenido que marcharse, habiendo podido intuir el encanto de esta ciudad sin llegar a disfrutarla. Primero los Incas, cuyos nobles viv\u00edan en los palacios que la rodeaban; despu\u00e9s los espa\u00f1oles, que transformaron la plaza con la caracter\u00edstica arquitectura colonial y, en pleno siglo XXI, es el ambiente y la vida lo que hace que, vayas donde vayas, de una forma dif\u00edcil de explicar, esta plaza vaya atrayendo tus pasos hasta hacerte regresar una y otra vez. Nunca te cansar\u00e1s.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Quiz\u00e1 es porque ofrece la posibilidad de contemplar la imponente y maravillosa fachada renacentista de la Catedral de Cusco. Tanto el exterior como el rico interior de este templo, levantado sobre antiguas construcciones incas, lo convierten en uno de los templos m\u00e1s bonitos del continente. Un buen ejemplo es el Templo y convento de la Merced, un edificio barroco que tiene el honor de albergar un custodio (donde se guarda la hostia una vez consagrada) de oro y piedras preciosas de m\u00e1s de un metro de alto y 20 kilos de peso.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Salimos de la plaza para subir las cuestas del Barrio de San Blas. Empinadas calles empedradas pobladas por hermosas casas coloniales que dan cobijo a restaurantes, galer\u00edas de arte, cafeter\u00edas y tiendas artesanales, hacen de un paseo por este barrio un buen ejercicio para el cuerpo y un placer para los sentidos. Las vistas de Cusco y una buena cena ser\u00e1n la recompensa por el esfuerzo.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>El Mercado de San Pedro es otro de los lugares donde sentir el palpitar de la ciudad. Comida, artesan\u00eda y casi cualquier cosa que necesites es un mercado bullicioso y colorido, donde adem\u00e1s se puede comer muy bien y a un precio de risa.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Despu\u00e9s de todo esto nos sigue quedando mucho Cusco por descubrir, pero no se pueden revelar todos los secretos, hay lugares que es mejor descubrir por uno
