Ha sido dominada por diferentes ej\u00e9rcitos extranjeros en varias ocasiones, y lleg\u00f3 a formar parte de Francia, de los Pa\u00edses Bajos y de Espa\u00f1a.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Estos cambios pol\u00edticos causaron que la familia real belga no tuviera el mismo reconocimiento que otras monarqu\u00edas de la regi\u00f3n. Sin embargo, ninguna de estas dificultades evit\u00f3 el avance econ\u00f3mico, social y cultural de B\u00e9lgica, siendo hoy en d\u00eda uno de los pa\u00edses m\u00e1s pr\u00f3speros del mundo.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Este crecimiento puede verse en su arquitectura, sobre todo en la que podemos encontrar en su capital, Bruselas. Esta ciudad puede presumir de sus fabulosas iglesias g\u00f3ticas, torres medievales y, por supuesto, del <strong>Royal Palace<\/strong>.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Este palacio ocupa el lugar que antes le perteneci\u00f3 al m\u00edtico Palacio de Coudenberg, ubicado en una de las colinas m\u00e1s altas de Bruselas.
