En aquella \u00e9poca, eran pocos los asentamientos en la zona balc\u00e1nica del mar adri\u00e1tico, y en el lugar en donde hoy en d\u00eda est\u00e1 la ciudad de Split, simplemente no hab\u00eda nada.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Dalmacia empez\u00f3 a poblarse cuando, en el a\u00f1o 305, el emperador Diocleciano abandon\u00f3 su cargo y se retir\u00f3 a vivir en su palacio. Este pasar\u00eda a ser conocido como el Palacio de Diocleciano, y fue el primer edificio de Split, adem\u00e1s de ser el coraz\u00f3n de esta naciente ciudad.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Luego, parte del <strong>Palacio de Diocleciano<\/strong> se convirti\u00f3 en una f\u00e1brica de uniformes militares, lo que atrajo a muchos trabajadores procedentes de poblados cercanos.
