Tussauds inici\u00f3 con el nacimiento de Marie Tussauds, ocurrido el 1 de diciembre de 1761. En su juventud, Tussauds no destacaba m\u00e1s que por una cosa, su habilidad para esculpir rostros humanos a base de cera.<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>Tussauds, de origen franc\u00e9s, logr\u00f3 realizar trabajos tan incre\u00edbles, que fue contactada por miembros de la nobleza francesa e incluso por la familia real, para que ella creara estatuas hiperrealistas de las personalidades m\u00e1s famosas de la \u00e9poca.<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>El talento de Taussauds era tan extraordinario, que lleg\u00f3 a ser la maestra de arte de la hermana del rey Luis XVI. Su relaci\u00f3n con la realeza gala le caus\u00f3 diversos problemas a lo largo de su vida, especialmente durante la Revoluci\u00f3n Francesa y las Guerras Napole\u00f3nicas.<\/p><p><br><\/p>\n<p>Por ese motivo, la artista se traslad\u00f3 a Inglaterra, donde expuso sus distintas obras de cera, primero como una atracci\u00f3n ambulante, y luego como un museo fijo.
