Este est\u00e1 ubicado en la Plaza de la Concordia, y es uno de los monumentos m\u00e1s curiosos de la ciudad. Esto se debe a que su origen no es franc\u00e9s, ya que fue extra\u00eddo del Antiguo <strong>Templo de L\u00faxor<\/strong>, y llevado a Par\u00eds para ser mostrado como un s\u00edmbolo del poder class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>La tradici\u00f3n de construir obeliscos para se\u00f1alizar lugares de importancia es muy antigua, data de las primeras civilizaciones que pudieron desarrollar la arquitectura, y para el inicio de la Era Moderna, ya eran muchas las ciudades del mundo que contaban con su propio obelisco.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>El Antiguo Egipto, que en su momento fue el principal poder del norte de \u00c1frica, el Nilo y el Mediterr\u00e1neo, era famoso por sus inmensos templos e impresionantes construcciones.\u00a0Uno de sus edificios m\u00e1s notorios es el Templo de L\u00faxor, ubicado en la ciudad de Tebas y dedicado al dios Am\u00f3n.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Frente a este templo, se alzaron por m\u00e1s de 3.000 a\u00f1os dos obeliscos, uno contin\u00faa all\u00ed, mientras que otro se encuentra en <a href=\"https:\/\/tripaim.com\/blog\/paris\/paris\"><span style=\"color: #842000;\"><strong>Par\u00eds<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.Este monolito termin\u00f3 en la conocida Plaza de la Concordia despu\u00e9s de que un gobernador egipcio se lo ofreciera a Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Champollion, historiador y egipt\u00f3logo franc\u00e9s famoso por haber descifrado la escritura jerogl\u00edfica de la piedra Rosetta.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div En 1829 el virrey egipcio Mehmet Al\u00ed regal\u00f3 este monumento al por entonces rey de Francia Carlos X como s\u00edmbolo de amistad entre ambas naciones.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p><p><br><\/p><p>Francia hizo lo propio y Luis Felipe I en 1845 regal\u00f3 un elegante reloj de cobre que nunca ha funcionado y que se encuentra decorando la arcada noroeste de la mezquita de Alabastro de la ciudadela de Saladino en El Cairo.<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p><p>Transportar el <strong>Obelisco<\/strong> con una estructura de m\u00e1s de 23 metros de altura y pesando sobre las 230 toneladas constituy\u00f3 todo un desaf\u00edo log\u00edstico. Se construy\u00f3 una embarcaci\u00f3n que pudiera soportar el peso y las dimensiones del obelisco.<\/p>\n<p><br><\/p><p>El viaje mar\u00edtimo dur\u00f3 m\u00e1s de un a\u00f1o.
