universidad de marineros<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2dc9e222 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"2dc9e222\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Sevilla, al igual que buena parte del sur de Espa\u00f1a, siempre ha sido un punto importante para el comercio mar\u00edtimo. Por lo tanto, en la ciudad han existido diversas escuelas y universidades dedicadas a la ense\u00f1anza de los marineros.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Una de esos centros acad\u00e9micos fue la Universidad de Mareantes, un lugar dedicado a educar ni\u00f1os hu\u00e9rfanos, con el objetivo de convertirlos en marineros de gran capacidad y enviarlos a las distintas colonias que Espa\u00f1a ten\u00eda en las am\u00e9ricas.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>En \u00fanico problema era que la Universidad de Mareantes no ten\u00eda una sede lo suficientemente grande, por lo que en el a\u00f1o 1682 empez\u00f3 la construcci\u00f3n de un nuevo palacio, que se adecuara a las necesidades de esta escuela de marineros.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>El lugar, que ser\u00eda conocido como <strong>Palacio de San Telmo<\/strong>, se mantuvo en funcionamiento durante m\u00e1s de un siglo.
