historia de este lugar, al igual que el de muchas otras zonas de Viena, est\u00e1 estrechamente relacionado con la monarqu\u00eda. El origen del Prater ocurri\u00f3 much\u00edsimos siglos atr\u00e1s, cuando el rey Federico I le otorg\u00f3 a una familia noble un terreno cercano a las orillas del r\u00edo Danubio.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Se dice que el nombre de esta familia arist\u00f3crata era Prato, y que de all\u00ed viene el nombre del parque.
