Ubicada en la regi\u00f3n de Dalmacia, esta metr\u00f3poli recibe a miles de turistas cada a\u00f1o, tanto nacionales como extranjeros. Desafortunadamente, este periodo de crecimiento tuvo un final abrupto, cuando las distintas tribus eslavas que habitaban otras zonas de Dalmacia iniciaron sus ataques contra las poblaciones costeras.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Dubrovnik naci\u00f3 siendo un refugio para los ciudadanos romanos que hu\u00edan de los poblados asediados, y con el tiempo se convirti\u00f3 en un enclave para la cultura latina del mar adri\u00e1tico. Asimismo, esta metr\u00f3poli fue v\u00edctima de varios conflictos b\u00e9licos, los cuales fueron incesantes durante casi toda su historia.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Por este motivo, Dubrovnik se transform\u00f3 en una fortaleza, rodeada de muros que proteg\u00edan a su poblaci\u00f3n de las amenazas externas.
