Desde hace siglos, los pobladores de la zona aprovechaban el recorrido del r\u00edo para realizar viajes y movilizar bienes materiales de una ciudad otra.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Pese a ello, la navegaci\u00f3n por el r\u00edo Forth era peligrosa. Las embarcaciones que lo transitaban, corr\u00edan el riesgo de quedar atrapados en medio de una tormenta, naufragar a causa de las embravecidas aguas e incluso de ser atacados por piradas.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Por todos estos motivos, el Forth era una aventura reservada solo para los m\u00e1s valientes. El r\u00edo ten\u00eda una sola pasarela, precursora del <strong>Puente de Forth<\/strong> moderno, ubicada cerca de la ciudad de Stirling. Este poblado, junto con su puente, protagoniz\u00f3 una de las contiendas m\u00e1s notorias de Escocia.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>All\u00ed batallaron las tropas del legendario soldado escoces, William Wallace, contra las fuerzas ingresas, que intentaban apoderarse del pa\u00eds.
