Luxemburgo<\/strong> eran parte del Palacio de Luxemburgo, el cual fue construido para la reina consorte de Francia, Mar\u00eda de M\u00e9dici.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>La soberana no estaba conforme con su residencia real, por lo que decidi\u00f3 crear su propio castillo, que deb\u00eda tener inmensos y placenteros jardines. Sin embargo, en el dise\u00f1o original del Palacio de los Luxemburgo, los espacios verdes eran considerablemente peque\u00f1os.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Con el paso del tiempo, los jardines se fueron expandiendo, hasta convertirse en un parque de gran tama\u00f1o. Mientras que los jardines crec\u00edan, la situaci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica en Francia cambiaba.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Cuando la Familia Real fue destituida durante la revoluci\u00f3n de 1789 y 1790, el Palacio de Luxemburgo se convirti\u00f3 en una prisi\u00f3n, y los jardines fueron descuidados.
