cuenta con su propio gobierno y las tradiciones culturales griegas son las m\u00e1s practicadas en todo el pa\u00eds. Pero esto no siempre fue as\u00ed, ya que esta naci\u00f3n mediterr\u00e1nea estuvo, por muchos siglos, bajo dominio otomano.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>La independencia griega lleg\u00f3 en el a\u00f1o 1832, luego de una larga guerra de emancipaci\u00f3n. Sin embargo, los problemas no terminaron all\u00ed, ya que sin l\u00edderes turcos, Grecia no ten\u00eda un gobierno formal.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Posteriormente, la naci\u00f3n hel\u00e9nica se transform\u00f3 en un reino, y junto con la instauraci\u00f3n de la monarqu\u00eda, tambi\u00e9n lleg\u00f3 un proyecto de reformas urbanas. Uno de los espacios que fueron creados a petici\u00f3n de la reina, fue el Jard\u00edn Nacional, una extensa \u00e1rea cubierta con las m\u00e1s hermosas y ex\u00f3ticas plantas, las cuales fueron tra\u00eddas de todo el mundo.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>En sus inicios, este jard\u00edn era privado, y solo pod\u00edan ingresar en \u00e9l los miembros de la familia real y de la nobleza.
