Los habitantes pod\u00edan llevar una cotidianidad tranquila, sabi\u00e9ndose protegidos por las inmensas paredes que marcaban el l\u00edmite de la ciudad, que pod\u00edan llegar a medir m\u00e1s de 10 metros de alto.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>En Europa, a\u00fan existen ciudades amuralladas, como la hermosa Dubrovnik, la misteriosa Tallin y la legendaria York. Sin embargo, estas no eran las \u00fanicas urbes que estaban resguardadas por este sistema de muros. Riga, la capital letona, tambi\u00e9n tuvo una amplia red de paredes que bordeaban toda la localidad, siendo una de las tantas urbes amuralladas de la regi\u00f3n b\u00e1ltica.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Desafortunadamente, la muralla de Riga se perdi\u00f3 en el tiempo, pero su legado sigue vivo gracias a la <strong>Torre de la P\u00f3lvora<\/strong>.
