How are the Giants

Extraordinary dimensions

They are the so-called Los Gigantes Cliffs, volcanic colossi with vertical walls that in some areas reach 600 meters in height and are another 30 meters under water.

These titans are distributed along 15 km between the municipalities of Buenavista del Norte and Santiago del Teide. The Guanches (ancient inhabitants of the island of Tenerife) knew this place as La Muralla del Infierno because for them it represented the end of the world and the volcanic walls were considered sacred.

Approaching Los Gigantes

The best way to enjoy them is from the sea and in the port of the Gigantes of the coastal town it is possible to hire a day trip that will allow you to approach the cliffs until you feel like David before Goliath. It is a magnificent place for the most daring to go scuba diving, as well as being able to spot a stable colony of pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins.

A must-see, they always offer an impressive view from any angle and remind us that even today there are inaccessible places, where we feel tiny, they are Los Gigantes.
