Over time, Pellart could not continue to maintain the costs of the Cada Loma, which was acquired by the city, with the aim of opening it to the public and turning it into a museum.
Casa Loma is a mansion located at the top of one of Toronto’s hills, it has seven floors, 6011 m² of extension and more than 90 rooms. It also has secret passages, elevators, huge kitchens, a swimming pool, bowling alleys, a basement, a library, a conservatory, extraordinary gardens, among other things.
Today, Casa Loma remains one of the largest residences in Canada, as well as one of the most luxurious and exclusive. Likewise, this palace is owned by the city, although much of the original decoration and design has been preserved.
Similarly, Casa Loma is one of the most visited tourist spots in Toronto, and has appeared in numerous movies and TV series, including blockbusters such as Descendants, Chicago, the X-Men saga, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Beauty and the Beast.
