In them there were not only large bathrooms, where visitors could spend long hours enjoying the waters, but there were also other rooms dedicated to different hobbies, such as reading, meditation and exercises.
It is important to mention that these baths were also a temple, where Mithras, the Persian god of the sun, was worshiped.
Due to its characteristics, the Baths of Caracalla functioned as a social center, where the inhabitants of ancient Rome could go together with their friends, family or business partners.
Currently, its main floor, its corridors, walls, entrance arches and some of its towers can still be seen. In addition, the interior of the ruins can be visited, so that tourists will be able to enter to take a look at the glorious past of Rome.
Likewise, if you want to see some mosaics dating from the years of power of the Roman Empire, in the Baths of Caracalla several tiles and tiles that originally adorned the place are preserved.
The Baths of Caracalla are open to the public every day of the week, and you can take free or guided walks. In the same way, in order to have access to these hot springs, you have to buy a ticket.
