Sculptures and monuments are a fundamental part of any city, and in Frankfurt we find many of them. In Frankfurt there is a wide variety of squares, and some are better known than others. However, one stands out from the others, and it is the Römerberg Square, this marks the entrance to the Old Town of the city, and is one of the most visited places by tourists.

Despite this, the nascent 20th century would bring many problems to Germany, and because of this, the sculpture could not be modified until several decades later.
Fortunately, the Statue of Justice was rebuilt along with its fountain, and now looks like the focal point of Römerberg Square. To protect the structure, it was surrounded with a finely designed small fence, and around it there are several benches for people to sit on.
As for the sculpture, it is not too large, but the features of the goddess of Justice can be seen, and the other elements that compose it are clearly seen, such as the scales in her right hand and a sword in her hand. left.
This is located on a base, which has its own sculptural carvings. Today, the Statue of Justice continues to remind the inhabitants of Frankfurt of the importance of a fair judicial system that serves the citizens and is equitable.
As a symbol of this work, and a historical reminder of what can happen when justice fails, there are two commemorative plaques near the statue, which commemorate and denounce the burning of books that occurred in Frankfurt during the time of the Nazi regime.
Although the Statue of Justice is one of its most visited tourist attractions, it is also surrounded by beautiful and colorful historic buildings, built in a typical Flemish and German style.
