In the Nové Mesto neighborhood of Prague, on the right bank of the Vltava, we are in a historic area dominated by neoclassical buildings and where two interlocking buildings known as Dancing House or Dancing House stand out.
Since 1997 it is possible to admire the impossible architecture of these buildings in the deconstructivist style that stands out in one of the corners of Resslova Street in Prague.
Called Dancing House because they suggest a dance couple contouring in the middle of the dance, in fact its designers the renowned architects Vlado Milunic and Frank Gehry were inspired for its construction by the famous dance couple Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire.
Located very close to the Karlovo Námestí metro station, the Dancing House has eight floors, on the lower floor there is a café and shops, offices from the second to the seventh and on the upper floor a restaurant with panoramic views of Prague.
This unique and spectacular building with strong character leaves no one indifferent and in a short time it has become one of the most visited places in Prague as a sample of modern architecture and one of the symbols of the city. Without a doubt, it is an interesting visit.
Other must-see places in Prague are St. Vitus Cathedral, Charles Bridge, the Church of Our Lady of Týn or the Powder Tower, among others.
