Famous for being “the city that never sleeps”, in Buenos Aires you can find activities to do at any time of the day. From visiting theaters to museums and historic neighborhoods, Buenos Aires has everything to make your trip a unique experience.
A few meters from the Obelisk, is one of the most famous theaters in the country, the Teatro Colón. Due to its size, acoustics and trajectory, it is considered one of the best in the world. But what stands out the most about this place is its dome, a work by the Argentine artist Raúl Soldi.
Very close to there is Corrientes Avenue, popular for hosting famous theaters. Among them, the Great Rex stands out. It is the place chosen by hundreds of artists to perform their shows, both national and international.
Other renowned theaters that are on that street are the Apolo, Teatro Lola Membrives and the Metropolitan. Each one of them offers different theatrical proposals and has comfortable facilities to enjoy the works from any location.
The tour of the city continues through some of its most important museums. Beginning with the National Museum of Fine Arts, where an extensive collection of Argentine art is exhibited.
An interesting and unique space is the Museum of Latin American Art, also known as MALBA. As its name indicates, works of contemporary art from Latin America are exhibited there, in addition to having temporary exhibitions that vary according to the period.
Visiting Buenos Aires involves visiting one of its most famous neighborhoods, either for its history or for the activities they offer. Walking through the streets of San Telmo, for example, it is possible to discover a part of the city frozen in time.
Along its cobbled streets there are markets and fairs with handicrafts that are ideal to take as a souvenir of the trip. There are also bars decorated as in old Buenos Aires, ideal for having a coffee while enjoying shows by street artists.
On the other hand, in the Recoleta neighborhood are the most luxurious buildings in the city. With a French-style architecture, the houses that make up this area stand out among its green spaces and tourist attractions.
In this neighborhood is the Recoleta Cemetery, where the remains of famous characters from Argentine history rest. And next to it there is a Cultural Center with fun exhibitions that vary according to the season.
At dusk, the city offers different entertainment activities depending on the area you are in. For example, the night in Palermo is lived in the bars, restaurants and clubs where hundreds of people enjoy a drink.
Avenida Corrientes is chosen by those looking to enjoy plays or eat a delicious pizza in one of its restaurants. You can also walk down that street contemplating the posters and decorations of the area.
Finally, next to the Río de la Plata in the Puerto Madero area, there are several nightclubs and luxurious bars available to experience the Buenos Aires nightlife.
